Tide Pool

31 Aug

I discovered this tide pool full of sea anemones at a minus tide, which is a low tide that is lower than normal.  The minus tide exposed more of the beach, rocks and tide pools, allowing me to explore the northwestern face of rocks at Coquille Point in Bandon, Oregon.    Painting in watercolor on Yupo paper is ideal for capturing moving sea water over the sand and rocks while keeping the jewel colors of the tide pool and its creatures.
