Little Beach Girl

23 Jan

Sometimes the reflections on a sunny day at the beach are so bright that it is hard to look at them.  This day as I was taking reference photos, a little girl stepped into the scene dressed in polka-dots.  She gave me the perfect balance for the golden reflections.

I have always liked paintings that give a clue as to what is outside of the picture frame.  This one has the dark shadow of one of the monolithic rocks at Bandon, Oregon.
