Jean Stephenson announced that I am the winner of the People’s Choice Award for the Annual Miniature and Small Works Show during Alive After Five in Old Town Bandon last evening.  As the winner, I will receive two months as a featured artist at the Art by the Sea Gallery and Studio in 2015.  Art by the Sea Gallery and Studio is a very vibrant and active cooperative gallery in the heart of Old Town Bandon, Oregon.

I will be teaching a watercolor painting on Yupo paper class Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 1-4 pm at the gallery.  The focus will be on advanced techniques in working on Yupo for watercolor artists of all skill levels.  It will be a great crash course for those just starting out with this synthetic paper as well a time to deal with painting questions from  those more experienced Yupo painters.   It is a delight to change those frustrating aspects of the paper into spontaneous looking control.
